Have got myself a nice looking 2010 E350 CGI convertible with only 32000 on the clock, have had it for a few months now and enjoy it every day .
After reading this forum looking on how to cure a loud knocking when closing the roof and having a quote from M/B dealer of £550 to replace a hinge on the boot lid, I have repaired the plastic part of the hinge that was broken using a hot glue gun and seems to work as the glue is flexible. Have put roof up and down over a dozen time and still all quite, Hope this helps others with the same problem.
