I had left the MB hobby for a while. I had a 320 model that really wasn't all there with a ton of issues. I cleared a lot them up but decided to move on and wait it out for something nicer. I had been watching CL and a few other sites the last couple of years. I was headed home the other day and saw a 1999 CLK430 with a For Sale Sign in the window and called up the nice lady who just bought a newer BMW. We made a really nice deal(3500.00)and now I have this coupe with V-8(4.3) and AMG Sport Package, totally loaded and 108,300 miles on it . She said the dealer would only give 1500.00 on the trade-in (typical dealer). I spent yesterday afternoon with Black Pearl #4 and polished her out.
The 430 has a service record with all the oil,trans, and ac maintenance dated.
I only need a front bumper cover for the exterior and the interior and glass is flawless. I am finished looking and found the Benz that will surely find some new miles.
Note: I have a 1997 Mustang Cobra I'm selling next week. When that goes I'll be up-grading the wheels and tires on the 430.

The original paint is really in good shape. I polished out a lot of scuffs with that Black Pearl polish. I've been showing cars for the last 35 years and this one is a keeper. thanks !
I'm trying to find a set of O.E.M. wheels that will fit beside the AMG wheels that are on it. If anybody knows what would fit I would appreciate the help.(17" or 18" inch)

I want to thank this forum and the members who replied to my post. Your help was very much appreciated. I was approached by a fellow Benz person who really like my CLK 430. He made me an offer to purchase the car and at this time I felt best to let her go. I have a knee infection that is giving me problems. I don't really want to have my wife dealing with an extra car if things get worse. I will probably return to the auto hobby when my issues improve. Happy Trails!
