Upgrading wheel & Tires on my 2017 E400 Cabriolet
Hello All. Thanks for allowing me to be among MB Enthusiasts. I an a collector of SL Models of the 70's, and 80's; and also maintain my wife's daily driver of 2017 GLE, and my 2017 E400 Cab. I am trying to modify the appearance and performance of the Cabriolet. The wheels are currently 18"; 8's; and I am considering replacing them with BBS Custom wheels. I would like to know if I can go up to 20"x 9" in front and 20" X 9.5" in rear. The replacement wheels are 5x112 pattern and 43ET, so I believe that part works ok. The guys selling the wheels assure me that they will be fine; but I am looking for input, if possible before I purchase. I am also installing a slotted rotor and brake upgrade package. Can anyone offer advice here in regards to whether I will run into other issue with the vehicle based upon the new wheels. I am also considering lowering the springs by 1", and using Bilstein B8 Performance Plus Struts. I am open for, and wold truly welcome any advice. Thanks, Aaron S.
