Hello, I’ve been a long time lurker on the forum. I’ve owned a 2003 SL55 for a few years that has been in desperate need of work. The car belonged to my father in law before he passed away. It sat in storage in my shop after he passed for a while. I had made offer to buy from my mother in law but she did not want to sell. A few years ago I bought a 2016 Shelby GT350 and about a week later she decided to offer the car to me at a very good price. Honestly, the car has sat in storage until now due to several issues. The most notable problem and the one I am currently addressing is the ABC suspension. I am currently in process of deleting it in favor of coilovers.

The owners in that section will be more than glad to help you. You can find it by scrolling down the main forum page. BTW, changing out your ABC suspension may not be the best financial move should you ever decide to sell the car in the future because doing so will lower your vehicle's value.. People like their MBs and especially AMGs in their original configuration.
I did my homework and decided to remove the abc. I realize that everyone has their own opinion on it and that’s fine. This is a Mercedes forum and the majority will lean towards keeping the car original. It was a tough decision, but at the end of the day I don’t want to worry about it anymore. I’ll have all the original parts in a storage bin for when the time comes to sell it. If the next guy wants to spend way too much money on a lot of unnecessary problems I’ll leave that up to them! LOL.
