Car turn off all of the sudden
My 2007 Mercedes CLK 550 turns off all of the sudden while driving on the road or the freeway and all the lights on the dashboard comes on, if I get to side of the road and try to star the car up sometimes it crank up and starts right away and sometimes i have to crank it up several times with no juice to the ignition switch till it cranks uo and turns on,. any suggestions or opinions what could be to this dangerous issue..

Battery?
Same thing happened to me on my e350 cdi a few years back while i was in a petrol station. Breakdown assistance said it was alternator problem. But went to the MB service and they found that the battery was kot compliant to MB standards. They changed the battery and all worked well. It’s scary to get completely off while driving though!!… good luck.
