I just was given a 2000 mercedes-benz s500 from a family member. My grandmother bought it new 22 years ago in Charleston SC and its been in the family ever since. Only has 137,000 miles on it. I love the car so far. Rides and drives very well and has lots of power. Ive never owned a mercedes, Ive always owned chevys or toyotas stuff that is easy to work on. Anything I should be aware of with this car? I was able to do an oil change and that went well. What about changing the serpentine belt and brakes? Is anything specialised with that? Is that something any shop can do?

I also am in need of another key. I only was given one key when my sister gave me the car. I have called around and it look like the dealer is the only place i can get a second key and they are around 350-450 dollars which is totally absurd. Also my console is broken in the front. Any place to get another one or have it repaired? The CD changed works about 15 percent of the time. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks
