R129 roof grief
Hi guys, I am new here, just got a 1991 R129 with a non-working softtop, hard top included. So far I have cleaned all the fuses in the boot, found the fault code and repaired a non-working microswitch on the left bow release mechanism.
I now have the motor running, one or two clicks, but no attempt to unlock the bow and lift the roof. If I insist, the roof switch starts to flash. Two or three attempts like this, and there are still no codes showing.
The fluid level is good, and the pump runs if I select up or down. Where do I go from here ? Can the pump pressure be tested ? If there is an internal leak, how do you find it ?
By the way, all attempts to raise or lower were done with the engine running, as the "new battery" was not fully charged.
