Hello World

Hey everyone!

I am a car enthusiast, but have never owned a MB. My goal is to do some research and see if a used MB is right for me. I've already been searching posts and threads and have found that members can be and are often quite helpful when it comes to DIY repairs and similar things, which is great.

Cheers

Don't be discouraged but these MB cars can be a money pit if you don't have the skill set to managed your own repairs. Make sure you get a good history on the car, check every switch on the dash to make sure they work as well as the option the switch operates.

thanks I appreciate your response. From what I am seeing, that is definitely the case with these cars. I consider myself to be a highly skilled amateur, but my weakness is electrical and I don't have the ability to rebuild a motor, or pull that or a tranny. That is beyond what I can do. I do have a hydraulic lift in my garage and its good for brakes and suspension stuff.
I am chewing between a W212 2013-2016 E series, or may just opt for a used Lexus so that I can avoid a car that's an ongoing project.

Hopefully you find a nice one that's been maintained.
