2013 ML550
Hello!

Hello everyone!

long time lurker, new poster. I guess now I should introduce myself! I'm Wes and I'm the proud owner of a 2013 ML550 for about a year and a half now. And well, it's no longer stock lol. Not sure about dyno numbers, but it's wicked quick.

HP Tuners estimated 750tq and 600hp crank(I assume that's what the calculations are estimating and not wheel) before my most recent retune on E40

Engine bay!

Sweet as. How has it been for a year and a half? Any big replacements since you have owned it, aside from the tune?

I changed my fuel pump because I thought it may be getting a bit weak at the top end with 128K miles on it, but it turns out I may not have had to. The new in tank pump wasn't keeping up either so the pump controller was coded to AMG specs and it fixed the issue!

But outside of aftermarket parts like the methanol kit and such, it's just been regular maintenance and issue free overall!

oh wow! That is vital information for all others who are thinking about an engine tune. Just curious, did you work this out yourself or did the tuning workshop suggest recoding the fuel pump controller?

It was a mix of both, I had been talking to the tuner about it, and I have a copy of the WIS/EPC. After looking at the wiring diagrams, I had noticed the wiring for the pump and controller for the 2013 ML550 and the ML63 were exactly the same so I compared the part numbers and showed the tuner. After that we hit up his contractor in Germany that does coding and he confirmed they were indeed the same exact parts for both SUV's. I can't say the same however for other models since I noticed Pekkah did a wire mod by cutting a brown wire on his vehicle along with others that had done the same thing

So I hopped on TeamViewer with him and he coded it really quick and I tested to see if it worked, and sure enough it did!
