Hi everyone,
Excited to find this Forum! I have owned 2008 CLS 550, and 1999 S430. Currently own 1998 E320, 2002 E430 Sport, and 2005 E500 Sport. I am a big fan of the late 90's early 2000's era before the accountants took power over the engineers. My e320 has 250,000 miles and is running strong! I wrench on her when my skills and tools allow. The front end was pretty worn out when I got her and I finally replaced the worn-out control arms and upgraded the shocks to Billsteins' with H&R lowering springs, and Beefier H&R Sway Bars. I really like the set up it offers so much better handling and fun when driving enthusiastically, while maintaining enough of the comfort for longer stints behind the wheel. I just picked up the E500 a couple weeks ago and I am impressed with the torque and grunt of that engine! But she has a lot of technology issues I will get to sort out. And I plan on using her as my daily driver. I'm actually picking up the E430 tomorrow and bringing it home for the first time. I'm looking for a pre facelift E55 to complete my W210 fascination for a while.
