A Winter Kiss
Hi Everyone.
I own a 2019 GLC300, and I absolutely adore it. It's my first Mercedes.
It's dark blue, 4Matic, and it has the big sunroof. Such a beautiful car.
I wanted 4Matic, because I live in the northeast US, and it snows here in the winter. And I HAVE to get to work in the morning, or it causes problems.
I'm also a writer.
My Mercedes once took me and the love-of-my-life across a Vermont mountain, during a sudden blizzard. It kept us safe and warm.
I kissed it when I got out. My winter-kiss in the moonlit snow might still be on the hood, somewhere. I hope it is.
I tell everyone that the car is great at everything. In the winter, it's a winter car. In the summer, it's a summer car. It fulfills all my needs.
In the fall, it smells of pumpkins and falling leaves, red and brown and yellow and orange. In the spring, it's filled with hope and budding leaves just beginning to wonder about the world.
However -
This past April, I experienced a terrible loss.
Terrible...terrible...terrible.
And now, I want a toy to cheer myself up. It might make me smile, as I learn to live my new life.
So --
Tomorrow, I'm going to test-drive a 2008 SL600. It has 50K on the clock, and the price is not too bad. I can afford it, if I choose to buy it.
The summer is just beginning, and it will be nice to have a convertible during these hot months. A walk in the woods in the morning. Coffee in the afternoon. Maybe a drive in the evening, with the stars my constant companions. It'll be fun, and I think it'll make me smile. I hope so.
But I won't know until tomorrow. We'll see. In any case, I'll be okay. I have a car that I love, and I have the money to buy this magnificent machine, if that's what I want. If it's as nice as I think it will be.
I also collect luxury watches, in case anyone here is a watch-lover like me. Maybe we can chat a little about watches...among our chat of these wonderful automobiles.
Anyway, it's nice to be here. I look forward to chatting with all of you.
