New Member Introduction. 1998 MB SL500
Hi. My name’s Jeff and I’m located in Nashville, TN. I recently purchased a 1998 MB SL500 with 31k miles in very nice condition. These are great cars. I was lucky enough to find it at a reasonable price, even though r129 prices have been rising fairly rapidly. I’ll do most of the work on the car myself, but will need a lot of help from places like this forum. I hope I can contribute some useful information now and then as well. Here’s the new to me SL.

Nice pics Jeff! My father has a 1996 SL 500 and this post reminded me of driving around with the top down. These are fun cars. Enjoy!

Thanks guys. For me, top down is when I really love the car. Gives you the urge to do crazy things. Like start looking for an AMG muffler, etc.
