Checking in!
250.
Back in December I decided to buy a new Mercedes and settled on a well optioned 2023 GLA250. The car was nice, but it wasn't for me. After 6 months of ownership, I sold it back to the dealer. I decided to buy something a bit more my speed, and bought a 1992 300D with an OM602 in it and only 208,000 miles. Finding an older car here in the rust belt that isn't rotted away is very difficult, but this car has no rust anywhere. It even still has the factory exhaust installed on it. It has a lot of compounding issues both mechanically and cosmetically that I need to work through. Only 1 window functions, the audio equipment doesn't function, and the climate control makes goofy noises (but does work!). I am a diesel technician, so there isn't too much that I'm afraid to dig in to. Ill just be looking for some guidance from folks here who better understand the vacuum system these cars use.

Your car is beautiful, interior looks good, i will help you with paper from EPC and WIS if you need. I own a diesel too, the OM612 5 cylinder turbo. the first reccomandation, attention to water in diesel. on mine i get 2 full tank of water and diesel at gas staatio. I had to do regenerate injector and now is good, i put only premium diesel on it. The OM602 if i'm not wrong dont have electic injection, there is mechanical pump and injector so you don't have much trouble like me
My parents had the G wagon with the OM602 engine naturally aspired and it was indestructible.Sorry my long message. Welcome in the Forum happy to have you here
