I’ve owned several SL models (350, 450, 500, SL63 AMG, 550) in the past fifty years or so, as well as a number of Porsches, Alfas and other assorted sports cars. I just bought the 550 to complement my other car, a 2013 Ferrari California so that I can now enjoy what I consider to be the best of both worlds - flat out fun on the street and at a road course in the Ferrari and back into the ultimate luxury GT experience of the SL550.
