2015 Vito 122, 2023 Vito 119, and a 2001 CL500
Better say hello then!
For many years I've been a bit of a parasite stealing info from these forums, but the time has come to join up and join in.
I've had Merc's since the early noughties when I bought a 312D Sprinter.
I bought my first Vito 122 in 2010, and I'm on my fourth now. I kept my 2015 122 simply because you cannot get them anymore, and it gets used as for towing. I've considered remapping it, re-working the suspension & wheels and taking it to the Nurburgring to break Guy Martin's record for a van as I know it'll beat it.
My latest 119 is quite nice, but lacks the oomph of the 122. What's annoying is if it had windows in the side, it could be a 140! And no, the 1950cc engine is NOT more fuel efficient than the old 2.1 - I was regularly seeing 50mpg with my previous 119 (2019 build), where the 2023 built 119 doesn't get anywhere near it.
And my most recent aquisition is my new shopping car - a 2001 CL500 - I'll be scouring the forums for tips and hints on that as it has a few things that need sorting out.
