Hello, I've been fixing up my mother's old car, a 2004 CLK500 that she bought new and only has 78k miles. Just posted a question about the fuel filter location (I've found many different answers for w209s, and a current torn muscle in my back means I can't go exploring too much). Car was sitting for years, just got it running again and want to replace fuel filter so I can safely run some 44k through it to clean injectors (tank was cleaned and fuel pump/ sender are new). Anyways, happy to be here! Thank y'all for the help, much appreciated.
Looks to be the same location as on my W210 E55...Be advised it is going to try to drain/drip fuel all over you when the lines are pulled from the old filter and installing on the new filter. You need to decide if you are going to go with worm-gear clamps or the OEM style clamps.
Approximately where are you located in Texas? If in San Antonio area, AutoHaus at Wurzbach and Austin Hwy is the indy to which I will take my cars when I cannot or do not feel like doing the work myself.
