Just to point out, this function is explained in your owners manual. As said above, the tilt function is enabled if the passenger mirror is selected. You can also adjust the tilt position to your preference.

It's one of the best features you can have, I have set up the perfect tilt angle on both my C Coupes and use it all the time when parking and is the reason why the passenger side wheels have never been damaged...
When just plain reversing or not parking the mirror tilt down does not interfere in any way as you have rear cam, rear view mirror and sensors.
I actually wish this feature was in all of the my other cars that don't have it instead of having to always manually adjust the passenger side mirror when reverse kerb parking.
