In the market for a early 2000s Mercedes with the supercharged v8
I have a big down-payment to put on an early 2000s Mercedes. I want the one with the supercharged 5.4 or 5.5 v8 engine. I haven't dug deep with researching but I think there's two types of e class and two types of s class that use this engine and idk which one to choose from. Any maintenance tips for keeping it on the road will help as well. I'm expecting to put a little extra work than oil changing, brake pads, coolant, transmission fluid changing etc.

You really need to decide what sort of vehicle you want before you make the leap. Personally the mid-cycle refresh of the SL (2007-2008) would be my first choice but I dont know if you can live with only 2 seats or if you want to deal with the potential of higher service costs due to folding hard top or ABC suspension.

I highly suggest looking up your question, and reading up yourself. Most of the rides came with air suspension, and for the big ticket items they offered ABC which are costly, and will break you down like a shotgun! GL
