I picked up my dream car over the weekend. A mint 2010 E63 AMG with the beastly M156 engine (shoutout to AMG tech Joachim Schmidt who assembled it, lol). I previously had a 2010 E350 and have been longing for an E63 since. I traded in my beloved W125 E320 Cabriolet for it (plus a pile of cash, lol). It joins our family of my wife's GLC300 and my mom's C300.
I have fond memories of cruising around with my dad in his 560SEC and now I get to make new memories with my son in this beauty. I look forward to learning lots from this community and hopefully meeting some fellow Benz owners at local cars and coffee meetups.
Congrats on the E63! The M156 is a legend enjoy that V8 roar. Cool that it’s handbuilt by Schmidt too. Sad to see the W124 go, but worth it for an E63. Hope you and your son make great memories with it. See you at a meetup.
