Ive lurked the forums lots in the past. Now that Ive been working on these cars for a while I think its time I contribute some useful info Ive found along the way!
Back when I first got the CLK, quite a bit different now.
Theyre all good cars in their own rights, but definitely the E280. The missing 30 kW and torque from the 350 is noticeable, but ive done a full e55 interior swap on my sedan so its much more comfortable (gotta love the heated seats and the generous bolstering). Also with the sports pack the handling is very sharp.
CLK is a bit unfair to compare as its now gutted (sitting around 1300kg currently)… Ill make a build thread eventually for anyone keen on doing similar. Before i stripped it though it was a very nice drive also. Pillar-less design makes for great visibility!
