Hi all, happy to join this community. I recently purchased this 2017 GLE 550e plug-in hybrid off of carsandbids: https://carsandbids.com/auctions/9l4...n-hybrid?c=all. With it's 200k+ miles, it may be the highest mileage 550e (w166?) on the forum. It's been fastidiously maintained by its original owner at an MB dealership over most of its life and I'm looking forward to keeping up with ongoing maintenance myself. Looks like there's a great forum thread in place for the similar models (https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...ip-report.html) that I can hopefully lean on heavily.
I flew in to Oakland airport, met the previous owner, and used the weekend to drive it back to Houston, TX over 28 hours. Glad to report that the 550e ate up the 1,800+ miles and that there were no troubling issues that popped up. The transmission shifting did give me pause a few times when trying to push the vehicle after coasting for a little while (took its sweet time to get moving) but not sure if that's just hybrid/7-speed/drive-by-wire expected things. Either way, excited to learn from everyone here and to contribute what I can.
