Long time lurker, first time poster. I have an 05 E500 that I bought with 38k miles a few years back, spent most of its life in a parking garage. Using as my daily driver so I'm up to 70k miles in 3 years. Been great so far, replaced air struts preemptively, otherwise just routine maintenance.
Then last week I bought the wife a 2015 ML250 CDI with 75k miles. Florida car, pretty clean. Will see how much trouble we have with the diesel. Already has first signs of oil leaks on valve cover and oil cooler. Will be repairing DIY as I have time. Got 35mpg on a 60mph 1hr long drive with a few stop lights!! Instantaneous at 60 is about 40mpg.
