Hey!
New here. Excited to learn everything about my car and good sources for parts, service, etc. I've owned Mercedes since 2016 and figure it's about time I started doing stuff myself. I have an SL with the V6 turbo. I was previously a classic Audi guy. So, I would like to know who you recommend for parts, tools, etc., and what is the best scan tool? Does Mercedes have something like VAG-COM for the Audi world?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Tons of great info here if you get involved there's always someone willing to help.
In regards to a scan tool for MB, the optimum level tool is Xentry. It is the same (clone) as what they use at the stealership with all the stuff your looking for and more.
I would highly recommend you get in touch with Peter @BenzNinja to get set up with all the hard and software you need to get going with working on your own buggy.
Peter is a great guy with tons of knowledge and very helpful. Join the club and you will not regret the investment.
