This is my first Mercedes-Benz, a 2019 G550 (W463a). I picked it up with just 13K miles, a single-driver vehicle, clean Carfax. I’ve already started making a few updates:
• 22” wheels
• Full PPF in stealth matte black
• Ceramic coating on body, wheels, and calipers
• Front windows tinted (15%)
• Xpel windshield protection
• Blacked-out badges and running boards
• Removing the brush bar soon
• Adding electric side steps next
Not planning any hardcore off-roading, but I’ll definitely take it on some trails and camping trips. Plus I need it to perform in the snow for ski weekends.
The only hiccup so far was cracking the windshield on the 2.5-hour drive home, plus a speeding ticket for good measure. Both handled now.
I’ve loved Mercedes since I was a kid. My father always had one. The one I remember best was his 1973 280SE 4.5. It crushed me when he sold it. That car made an impression.

Fuel economy and insurance prices be damned! I absolutely love the G so far.
