2005 SL 500
New MB Owner from AZ

My wife wanted a hard top convertible because AZ has a lot of sun and rag tops don't last. Searched for a few months until I found a 2005 SL 500 with only ~80K miles on it. It was her Christmas present. The Carfax showed it had had dealer maintenance except for the last couple of years. I wanted to baseline the maintenance so read through the forums and did the oil change, all the filters, new brakes and tires, bought a scanner and worked through all the codes, I am down to about 8, some stuff with the ESP, something in the driver door, a control panel somewhere, has been an interesting trip.
This forum has been extremely helpful, and I want to say that I really appreciate all the good advice. Between this and YouTube I have been able to get through just about everything that I have run into. I am having an issue with the passenger side of the trunk lid not latching but will put that in a separate post once I have had a chance to search for the answer on the forum.
