Hi. I just purchased a 2012 glk350 4matic 3.5l. Runs great. No oil leaks. No play in steering. There is just o e thing I’ve notice though. When I accelerate really hard from a dead stop, there’s a clunking noise and feel coming from the drivers side suspension. Anyone know what this could be please before I rip apart everything to find it. My guess is cv axle slipping or motor or transmission mounts but there is no engine vibration at all while at idle or cruising. Thank you in advance.
Would look at the prop shaft, had similar symptoms.
my control arms creak not clank when accelerating, they have been silent during the freezing temps, but have started to get noticeable now that’s it’s getting warmer again. Can easily reproduce and hear the sound when I place a stethoscope on the bushings and someone strong pushes the front end up and down.
