Hi everyone, I am Davide, I'll introduce myself to this forum.
I am a 23 year old engineering student from italy who loves car, and my car, which also is my first car, is a Mercedes CLK 230, here is a pic of it.
(i'm only uploading one as all i have are all very heavy for some reason... sorry)
In my description, as the 230 kompressor was not commercialized in USA i could not select it, and i selected a 320, but my car is a manual 230 kompressor bought from germany, made in 2001.
I am joining this forum as I read many threads and i think this is a very interesting place for sharing info and experiences about our cars. I work on my car myself as I have little budget, I did some mods to the car (not visible in the picture) which are a catback supersprint exhaust and a set of CEIKA coilovers, as my previous rear struts were cooked and i wanted a sportier ride. For next mods i would like to buy an LSD, new rims and better tires, i'm currently running 225 45 R17 all aorund and I will most likely keep the dimensions the same as they are the only allowed tire/wheel sizes available are constrained by my vehicle registration sheet (idk how to call it), i would need to modify it to allow different tire fitting, on the road.
I hope to participate to good conversations and make friends here, i am excited to start sharing with you my (little) experience about my car, and mostly receive advice from you guys, which will for sure be very experienced.
Welcome and congrats..Nice looking w208. As for upgrading tires/wheels would depend on roads in your neck of woods. Pls check out the w208 forum, and post your questions there. Again, welcome

P.s. about the tires, roads where I live are not great, and most of the time i use the car for fun and spirited driving. Rn i have no budget for wheels and tires but whenever i'll need info i'll look for a thread in the w208 section :-)
