Not so quick on moving this out of the S Class thread. When I log onto my MBrace account it tells me my '16 S Class may be subject to this recall.

wow. I respectfully asked the thread to be moved as the article didn't seem to mention the S class. First you insult and call me a ******, then you sent me a pm calling me a wierdo and implying I am immature. I was not disrespectful to you. No reason to call names and insult. Wow

At any rate, I thought it may be of use to those of us here that try to monitor 'many a things' going on with Mercedes Benz as of today, they seem to be going in many different directions and news is news.........

The 'million cars' starter current limiter has nothing to do with the S class cars, the rear relay isn't a recall but a service campaign to catch a batch of potentially faulty relays before they give issues. The starter current recall has resulted in actual issues, it's a stretch but that's why they recall.
In case you didn't read it, the recall is only for a situation in which the ENGINE IS SEIZED due to hydrolock or other catastrophic failure, and then the driver continues to try to start the car anyway, it could overheat and melt the affected part causing a fire. So benz is replacing them all anyway. Not really a big deal or anything to worry about.
It isn't something they test, what happens if we drive the car into a puddle deep enough to lock up the engine, and then keep trying to start it after it clearly won't start? These things only surface once your brilliant customers get the cars, and MB is fixing it anyway.
