Hello,

I'm not good in Aftermarket industry stuff and also not good in Photoshop.

But who thinks the AMG GT R grille will be nice in S63/S65 sedan also?

I think the exact opposite. It's a shame Mercedes slaps the same grills on just about every car, just like their AMG wheel options. The S-class wheels are identical to the ones on the C-class, apart from size.

That grill makes sense on the AMG GT series as those are sports cars, but not on some silly SUV (GLC) or the S class for that matter.

The day I can't buy an S or E Class sedan, with the little 3-pointed star sitting on top of the hood, where it BELONGS, will probably be the day I buy a different brand. However, if they were to offer the OPTION of the sport grill, that would be fine with me, as long as I can still have what I want.

Of course, the star sitting on top of the hood is top one priority

but I'm really into the sporty grille. I wish I have photoshop skills to make one picture. 2018 S450/S560 with sport package and GT grille

No, no, no, I don't think even the E class sedan should have the sports grille.
There should ALWAYS be clear differentiation between the nose of the sedan and the coupe.
And they better make the panamericana grille exclusive to the GT models and the S63/S65 models, the real AMG models, not the lesser E43, C43, CLA45 models, etc.

I was thinking the same that GT grille belongs to GT cars until Mercedes announces the new S63 Coupe with GT grille!

So I will not be surprised if MB implements GT grille into other models.

Again if their is a Photoshop designer can give us an idea how GT grille looks with S-Class sedan since the sedan has different front end

I am pretty sure the next AMG version of the CLE 4-door coupe will have the panamericana grille, and I am OK with that, since a CLE63 will be a legitimate AMG model, just do not put it on anything less than a 63AMG.

Someone Rendered AMG GT grille!

Hello everyone,

Here is an S450/S560 base model with AMG Kit and Rendered with Panamericana grille (AMG GT grille). Also can be done with S63/S65 Model. The idea is simple. It’s only an aftermarket high quality grille.

Of course the outter body of the grille won’t be changed, so mercedes 3-pointed star emblem will still stand on the modified car.

all works done by: Emir Rime from Germany 🇩🇪

Thanks to him

Are they the same exact make and model Goodyear 20" tire?

Sorry, Jason. Been preoccupied. The 18 560 came w/ 19” Michelin run flats. My beloved quiet 15 550 had 53R 20” wheels w/ Goodyear run flats.
Dealer GM bought my old 550. Trying to talk him into a wheel and tire exchange.
I cant get over the increased exterior noise penetration into the cabin compared to my old 550. Same noise level as the Tesla S P100D I fest drove for a week. Crazy fast but very firm ride and similar noise penetration issue.

Very interesting... Did you check tire pressure. The only other thing I can think of is defective tires. Very odd. Another thing you should try is test driving another 2018 with same setup.

Actually, I didn’t check tire pressures. Fair point. I’ll be driving more 560’s this week.
More alarming concern is the big increase in traffic noise penetration. The wheel / tires issue can get solved. No idea what is going on with the noise penetration. The car doesn’t have that serene isolation I grew to love in the 550.
Sure didn’t see this coming.

Yea, definitely try the other ones and see. OR it sounds like one of the Germans had too much beer the night before his day on the assembly line and forgot some insulated panels

Probably 25 years ago, I toured the MB factory. When the lunch break started on the assembly line, these guys were drinking huge bottles of beer. When I was waiting at a train station one morning around 7am, there were all these men drinking beer at the bar. And, it seemed that if they had time to drink one beer before their train came, that was fine, but if they had time to drink two or three, that was fine as well. And the beer there is potent!

XPEL is a must. In winter conditions the side skirts, lower doors and bumpers are going to take a beating.

If you're going to keep the car, get it Xpel'd ... if not, all you're doing is keeping the car nice for the next owner in 3 years, and you won't see much of that $6K back in resale value
