My Retired 2013 S-550 For Sale. Price too high?
Hello all.
My 2013 S-550 is for sale in Atlanta, GA. I traded the car in at a dealer down in Miami and it appeared it was sent to auction and bought by a dealer in the Atlanta area.
I was given $25k for my trade when the car has 71k miles on it (wonder where the extra mileage came from). The dealer has the car priced at $30,795, and I was wondering if that was too high? It seems a little high price wise.

I am in no way going to benefit from the sale of the car, when it does sell. I just want my old car to have a great owner
The day I picked her up from the dealer! Traded my CLS-550.
My last week with the car...

30K is full on retail and probably wishful thinking with those miles. You did fine at 25K on trade especially if you got the sales tax benefit of only paying sales tax on the difference. Car should be around 27K retail. But you never know, there is a sucker born every minute. Dealer has the benefit of being able to offer financing and it looks like it has been detailed but other than that it is a last gen car with a lot miles.

Did the same thing in February of this year, traded my 2012 S550 4M in on a 2015 with 17K miles. My 12 had 55K miles on it and needed a bunch of work and I got 27K for it on trade. Miles have a huge impact on the value of these cars regardless of year.
