Do you love your S class?

I'd never compare a W204 to the W222 as they are in different realms and certainly not Maserati garbage to any of the big German luxury saloons. I LOVE the S-Class, it's my favorite car in the world, my first Mercedes-Benz was a 2010 S63 and my second is a 2014 S550 I just purchased a week ago and I am head over heels in love with it. I would maybe compare this and the face-lifted version to Bentley and Rolls-Royce vehicles but nothing else, it really is a cut above the other German automakers. Hope this helps lol..

This sort of hostility is exactly what this forum doesn't need. No one goes around judging you for your preferences in life. If anything, it also contravenes forum rules.

I liked my 2015 S550, but I love my current Tesla. It's not as well-built as a Mercedes, but it feels like I am driving the future and not the past.
Happy Tesla owners have lots of passion about their vehicles. I enjoy driving an electric vehicle and the positives (for me) outweigh the negatives.
I hope you find something that you look forward to driving.

So far I do for the most part.
Exhaust note could be deeper like on my 2010 W221
Comfort Airmatic mode could be a little more plush
Rear defogger is just that, not a defroster... Could be about 5 times more powerful.
Sound system not as good as in the W221

Love my S! So much respect for the car when other drivers are on the road. On the highway, I can ride up on someone and they will move out of the way! This cannot be said when I drive my Jaguar F-Pace S. The luxury, built quality, and driving dynamics are totally worth the price. Mine was a little under 115k. Back in 2008, I went down to a CLS 550 to save some money after a S55 AMG, and nothing is like an S Class.

Please please please please do not take what I'm about to say in any way that is personal. I am truly not trolling, but I would love to ask this question.
Do you love your S class?
Please pardon me here. The reason I started this thread is that I respect the S class. I have read so many reviews and have seen so many Youtube reviews and everyone is in love with it. That said, I am not.
I don't love the S class. I don't love the interior at all (and those LED lights don't hit the mark for me). The ride is great, and the car is beautiful, but I have no relationship with said car.
So the reason I'm starting this thread is again, not to be a troll, but I'd like to know if there are some of you that looked at the S, bought the S, and then fell madly in love with it.

I have your same feelings on the new one. I love my car, and just don't have those same feelings on the new S. You could find a nice used S550, S63, S65, for PEANUTS. If you want more info, let me know.

I've had over 10 Mercedes in the past 30 years, and of all of those, the W221 was my favorite. I had the 2nd generation of the 2007 model. Yes, I said 2nd generation of the 2007 model. The W221 came out in late 2005 through 2007 and after around September 2006, the W221 was a great car. Mine was an S600. If you had an early 2007 model, you had the navi/Sirius antenna on the top of the trunk as opposed to the roof. Those had early production troubles but fortunately I got a late 2007 model car and it was the best car I ever owned. PERIOD! Of course the 2010-2013 models were fantastic.

I LOVE my S Class!! I have to admit, my W221 was definitely a head turner, and I love the fender flares of the W221, and wish the W222 had them. But that's where my love for the W221 ends and my love for the W222 begins. The new S is a head turner as well, and with those headlights, tail lights and LEDs throughout....it's just a sexy vehicle. The interior of the W222 destroys the W221, and most other "flagships" hands down (I hear the new A8 may rival it, but haven't seen it), and every time I'm driving my W222, I have no regrets on moving on from my W221. The new S is just a different beast! This car just pulls off the line in a different manner; giving me a hot stone massage, and adding aroma therapy on top of that......can't beat it! Don't get me wrong, I loved my W221, but this new version is just different, and in a great way! Another thing that I noticed that I can't figure out is the ride; I thought the W222 had the same suspension as the W221, but I swear that the W222 is A LOT smoother than the W221. I keep my suspension in sport mode, and it's totally different from what I felt in my old W221. In my old one, I felt every crack, hole, rock, or what have you....but in the W222, it's a lot more smoother, while maintaining the stiffness on twisty roads.....can't explain it, but it is different. Oh, and I just recently got the chance to test my heated windshield thanks to this Colorado weather, and it's AWESOME...no more scraping!! Again, I loved my W221, but I definitely LOVE my newer S Class!!!!!
