2018 Model Year Facelift Headlight Upgrade, Adapter

Does anyone know where you can buy the adapter thats needed to upgrade your headlights to the facelifted 2018 model year headlights? Also someone to do the coding?

I'm not sure, but I'd be interested. Apparently from what I've read and seen, you need a new front bumper too though...

But, to be honest I'm more interested to learning if this car can be coded so features can be enabled. I believe the European headlights are brighter and the adaptive high beams actually block out the light to prevent blinding cars.

You def have to swap bumper and several other parts. They are all easy enough to find, the adapter however I have not been able to find. Mercteil has them but they only sell them to you if you buy the headlights from them...

There’s a seller on eBay that sells the headlight harness kit for $300. Seller user name is “Dubaimall1”

I am thinking about tackling this project for my 2014 S550. Just don’t know if the shipping cost is worth. Check them out and let know what you guys think.

Here’s a US seller link below For the face lift bumpers. And if you have night vision option. The depo headlights don’t have that option. I also put a link below for those who have the night vision option headlights. And another link for a US seller that sells the depo headlights.

Thanks for the links. I have night vision so I will have to go for the second option. I did contact Depo and they were willing to add the night vision headlights with the complete kit. It would be cost efficient if I could sell my original AMG front and rear bumper along with the headlights and tail light. That would definitely bring the cost of this conversation to a more reasonable one. I wonder if there a company that would buy my parts. Any idea? Thanks everyone.

Im surprised more people are not on board with this idea.

I was exploring this option but found it quickly got more expensive than I thought it would be. The eBay links (above) for front lights at about $1,100 each is substantially better than OEM pricing ($3k each, I think) so that helps the equation a lot. But then the fussing around with each bumper, paint, etc. just turned me off.

Finally, I kinda stepped back and took a hard look at the before/after pics and decided I actually prefer the non-facelifted versions already on my car.

My car is in the body shop for the conversion now. (Front & Rear bumper, front grille, Front & Rear lights (all from Depo, plug & play, no need coding)). Make sure the body kit is Made in Taiwan, I have tried made in China one for my W221 and the fitment was bad, the quantity was bad.

Looking forward to seeing the completed project. Please keep us updated if possible. Pictures would be a tremendous help. Also when done, if you could share with us the total cost/links. Good luck and I am definitely getting ready for the conversion.

The shop installed front and rear bumper, front headlight, front grille, taillights. But I sent the following parts to have them put on the car:
1. Carbon fiber trunk spoiler
2. Carbon fiber roof spoiler
3. Carbon fiber side mirror cover
4. Carbon fiber side skirt cover
5. Carbon fiber interior trim
6. 22" wheels and tires.
7. Lowing module use command to control.
8. Custom steering wheel with heat and lane change function.( get rid off the ugly one)
I also want them to paint the caliper.
Here is a picture my friend sent me:

Damn man, it worked! Congrats! Whenever you get the chance we would all love a parts list and to understand what this cost you. To include the updated steering wheel. I love that front bumper.

Looks great!!! I’m waiting for your part list to start my project. Still trying to find a work around for the headlights to work with night vision. So far they are charging me $3,000 for the pair, plus $480 for shipping and another $1,200 for an adapter for the night vision to work. $4,680 just for the headlights before installation seems a bit high...so don’t know what to do here. I never really use the night vision any way.

Nice congrats! Any pics of the rear bumper.
And how did they connected the light under the bumper?

1,070 Headlight
160 Shipping
+ 540 Adapter
1,770 per headlight x2 = $3,540 before installation. Now I’m hating the night vision lol.

thanks for the link.

My friend just confirmed with me that the rear bumper kit does NOT come with the light bar that shows on your picture! Do you know what is that for? A rear fog light?

He said the rear bumper does has an open for the light bar. I am thinking about to get it from a local dealer. Because my friend said from his shop computer system, the light bar is unavailable for order.

You're correct. The kit doesn’t come with that light bar. I believe it’s for either reverse/brake light? Anyone who has the 2018+ S63 can confirm this?
