2003 C230 Kompressor Sedan
I am thinking about parting out a 2003 C230 sedan with 171,xxx miles. The engine needs to be replaced but I am testing the water to see if there is any interest. The engine jumped timing but any external parts of the engine are good, for example alternator, supercharger...

I need some interior pieces.
driver's window switch. Front passenger door panel (if black and good condition). center console (if black and good condition). Also some little bits like a manual lock top, cover for the driver rear door panel screw. center cap for a wheel.

I do have the 3rd brake light assembly(trunk mounted). I need to look at it and determine the condition. I will have to see if the alarm siren is still functional.

I am planning on taking the car apart on the 18th of January. Once the parts are removed I will take pictures and discuss prices. Is anyone interested in the entire vehicle?

I was able to disassemble the cylinder head yesterday and determined I will not be repairing the engine. The timing chain jumped and all the intake valves are bent leaving nice indents in the piston tops. I will be parting out all the other engine parts... power steering pump, supercharger, alternator and so on. I took a few pictures of the interior which is in pretty good condition minus the 2 missing grab handles. Also the engine wiring harness which only has 30,000 miles on it. Both oxygen sensors, complete exhaust system with catalytic converter.

Look at post 53. Your pistons might be ok. Those deep grooves are supposed to be there.

may be interested in the entire engine if can get for a decent price. Block/head/Supercharger/and AC compressor.... don't need alternator.
Interested in building an engine out of car to replace my 172,xxx engine. Have a guy to do the head work/valves local.

I decided to rebuild the cylinder head, replace the timing chain and get the engine running. Installed the rebuilt head and timing chain this past weekend and the engine is running great. I apologize for the delay in an update. looking to sell the car now.
How much did you end up spending to get her running again?
