I dynoed my SLK 200 last week and results was fascinating. Obtained 205 rwHP which works out to be 250 BHP. Torque was approx 300 Nm. Had a customized ECU chipped by MKB. Those German tuners are top notch !

From a stock 163 HP to 250 HP is a big jump IMO.

Intercooler?

Dear slkfans,

I am interested to know about the intercooler u installed, can u tell me what brand it is & who installed it for u?

I am located in KL ,and i have installed a kleeman pulley & then upgraded my ecu with mkb.i heard of an installer in singapore that claims to be able to get 250hp with the intercooler..perhaps it is your car?

did u have to reprogram your ecu after installing the intercooler?

thanks & you have a nice car!

Hi Kat88,

Nice to hear from you. I believed you had your ECU chipped by MKB Stage 1.
I had a Kleemann Pulley Kit and a larger intercooler with a customized ECU to manage the air/fuel ratio for the larger intercooler from MKB. I dynoed my car and the resultant rwHP is approx 205 which works out to be 250 BHP The local mechanic is top notch when it comes to mercedes performance. He is a mercedes all rounder.......

Let me know so that I can provide his contact over to you.

Hi slkfans,

yes i had the stage 1 mkb ecu upgrade(rm6500) ,i want to do the 2nd stage upgrade plus intercooler from mkb but the installer wants to charge again for reprogramming the ecu which comes to around rm16,000!

i felt its unfair to charge me again for reprogramming the ecu as he did not tell me b4 my first upgrade.i would have just skipped the stage 1 part & gone for the stage 2 & save rm6500.

i was wondering if u know any other tuner that has an intercooler for the slk? thanks

kat88,

My intercooler was purchased from Australia and had a local mechanic to fix it here. Unless you want to purchase the same intercooler as mine and have it fix over in KL. You can purchase the intercooler online from Australia.

Hi slkfans,

thanks for the info, can u give me the web address to check out?

i have a friend who can install it for me if i decide to get it online.it seems much more reasonably priced at $600(is that aus$ or sing$?) than mkb's intercooler which is around rm10,000!

did u upgrade your ecu after installing the intercooler or before? if u did it after, does that mean i have to reprogram my ecu to stage 2 to get the performance?
thanks again

slkfans,
According to Kleemann's own website, the M271 kit increases the HP only to 210 HP from the stock 163. You mean your 250 came from the installing that new intercooler? I'm interested 'cos I'm looking to upgrade my SLK 200 to Kleemann's as well.

To slkfans (who needs to respond to his PM) and all, group buys are NOT permitted currently on MBWorld.org unless initiated by a MBWorld.org sponsor. Violations will be strictly taken care of.

Captain Jack,

may i know where you do your carlsson pulley kit? at Autovox? also, how much you paid for the Brabus rims. I'm driving a CLK 240, hoping to soup it up a little.

CLK200 Kompressor
Hi Derrick

All the work on the car was done by MBM Wheelpower at Sin Ming. The guy to contact is Kelvin Lim, he is the only person in Singapore I would trust to do any work on my car, he is ex C&C, he organised the pulley kit, the Brabus rims , the exhaust and the Brabus body kit. Give him a call on 94556872 or 64583198

E200K W211 (M271)
Just got back from MBM Wheelpower. Seems they're making a similar pulley set for our M271 Kompressors, which should be ready end Dec. This, plus Brabus tuning, should be sweet!

Awaiting their confirmation. Fellow Singaporeans may want to check it out.

M271 is used on W211. It is a 1.8L Kompressor engine. If you're W210, it is the older M111 2L Kompressor engine. Check your cc. M111 will use a different kit.

I think you might want to drop by Benzline or MBM Wheelpower and see what they have for M111.

Thanks for your info.... I'm live in Brunei so i only can get those kit in local.. What pully kit are u use in your W211 rite now? The kleemann pully kit for the M111 engine only include 1 pully, 1 ring and a blet. everything cost about B$2400 and it's look expensive to me just a little thing. But the Carlsson pully kit look more stuff.. 3 pully, air filter and blet.. but it cost B$4000 plus... But both pully kit give the same hp output around 200hp.. So this is the hardly point i cant choose the kit until now...

Hi guys

I please need your help. I would like to install a CK20 Pully kit on my slk 200.

The problem is that I am in South Africa and I can’t seems to find any person locally that supply it.

Can anybody help? Even a second hand kit will be fine.
Do I need to change the fuelling as well?

Regards

Johann

According to the website Kleemann, increase the HP M271 kit only 210 of the 163rd stock You mean your 250 came from the installation of the new interchange? I am interested because I m looking to upgrade my SLK 200 with Kleemann which is so good.
