Installing Brembos
Guys:
Is it true that a 13-inch disk is better than 14 because of weight savings?
I don't know much about brakes. All i know is that i currently have a 13.6-inch disk on my CLK and i'm totally confused as to which brembos to install.
Thanks!
Joe

Better in what application? On the track the larger disks help dissipate heat faster than an smaller disk. The thermal capacity is greater and the cooling factor is greater in a larger disk. The unsprung weight of a larger disk is definitely a negative, but its a trade off for a cooler braking system.
For the street, the stock brakes would be fine for most people. Spend the money on some track time.
