Color-keying Chrome Moldings

I want to "black out" or color-key all the chrome moldings to the body color (front & rear bumpers, doors panel, and around the windows). Has anyone done this or know if there's any special prep work that needs to be done to the chrome before it's painted so the paint adheres and doesn't scratch off (I was told that it will unless it prepped right)???

Or: I heard you can purchase some of the parts without chrome, Euro-style. If so, is this available for all MBZ models and where?

2004 E500
Go to the evosport website for the color matching reflectors. I got mine from there for my E500. They are called Euro Strips. The color matched perfectly. They are for the orange front corner reflectors. My signature picture was taken before I put them on, but I definitely recommend them.
