I'm new to this forum and have been looking for some upgrades to my car. I barely started to look around and dont know much about body kit models and such so I was wondering if someone can tell me what the latest body kits are for my car and/or anything to increase my horsepower, from chips to exhaust. My c230 sport sedan is stock, so i'm debating on what to upgrade first. Any tips and help are appreciated. Also, i noticed people talking about w202 and w203, dont know what they stand for, what is my car considered?

M271?? Can anyone fill me in on all this lingo?

You sir, have a W203 - this is a chassis spec, like the rest of the classes have. If you're looking for specifically your car - might want to check out mbklasse.com/forums (W203 specific). Hope you find what you're looking for.

Hi

If you have a M271 KE 18 ML engine it is the 1.8L supercharged model labeled C230, if you have the M272 E 25, it's still labeled C230 but a 2.5L normally-aspirated V6 in the current 2006 model.

The former engine can be easily tuned but increasing the diameter of the crankshaft wheel that drives the supercharger and thus, boost. See www.vaeth.com as an example. Cost is ~USD 2,000.

The 2.5L V6, on the other hand, is too new for tuners to have anything in their program, and would also require more costly modifications for serious hp gains e.g., enlarging displacement, hotter cams.
