Performance chip location in my '03 C230

Hey all I was told by the previous owner there was a performance chip that was added to the car. Where in the world could I check to see if this is true.
Thanks (totally clueless)

It would be a reprogrammed ECU. The common scenario is that the ECU is removed, sent to a shop for reflashing, mailed back and re-installed. You won't see a difference.

For our cars you do. Just get pulleys and you'll be all set . How else am I killing Lexus IS250 6Speeds?

So I can JUST do the pulley and not the ECU upgrade and get good results?

What I meant was that there isn't a visible change to the ECU. It's just flashed. The only visible sign that it has changed is the grin on your face and/or thinner wallet

Well the best way to do it is to install the combination. I would get pulleys.. feel the difference, then chip the car (speedtuning). On an N/A car you'll feel more throttle response, etc, but of course more of the benefit would be felt and realized if you were boosted.

I've chipped my car while under warranty for the last 1.5 years of it. In fact, ON TOP of the K-Box I was chipped and STILL my warranty wasn't void.. then again, I had awesome service advisors.

Any pictures of your products?
