need advice on M111k cams upgrade

Hello guys, I am planning on having a cam upgrade next month. However, I would like to ask cam guru out there about the set up that i am getting. My car is a C200K with M111k engine. The cam that I am getting is made by Schrick 265 lift and only the exhaust side. The tuner told me the intake side cant be upgrade and I should get like 10 to 15 hp by just upgrading the exhaust side. Must the valve reatainer and springs be upgrade also? i am also a bit worry about the drivability and rougher idle. Any advice is appreciated, thanks guy.

Where did you get the cam from. You will gain high end power but sacrfice some low end pull with the M111. Renntech used to sell the Shcrick cams for 3K but no longer available!!!

Which tuner told you you can't upgrade the intake side?

Not very familiar with you engine but i'm running a set of cams myself for an E55 application and can tell you my following experiences.

The 10-15hp sounds about right. Although for my application it's 15-20hp.
The valve reatainer and springs are still stock after the upgrade.
Driveability is not an issue for me (traction is ) but i did notice a much stronger pull from mid to high rpm range. Almost like a freight train.
The idle is a bit rough but hardly noticeable imo.

I think it you have the $$$ it's an awsome upgrade. Post pics of the cams when you get them! Good luck!
