The only thing preventing me from getting aftermarket seats is the loss of SRS function.

I had this problem in my car and what I did was transplant the sensors and wiring, and use some resistors

That was what I was told, but does SRS still function, or does it just disable the SRS malfunction light? I would want SRS to still remain functioning just in case of an accident. Good thing is I have manual seats, so there isn't that much wiring.

I am not 100%, but I don't see why the SRS would know that something was amiss if you transplant all the wiring and sensors
