**~**Powerchip Performance Tuning! Easily & Safely gain HP/TQ!**~**

Hello forum members!!! I'm pleased to announce that Stealth Auto is now a forum sponsor and will be retailing Powerchip performance software. Powerchip is a European tuning company that has been tuning these vehicles for the past 15 years.

Just to give you a brief summation of how Mercedes tunes their vehicles... All MBZ vehicles are tuned very conservative from the factory. They do this because they're afraid of "the wife" or non-car enthusiast putting lesser octane fuel in and possibly damaging the car. Also, some states like California have 91 octane fuel at best which severly limits how aggressive tunes can be from the factory.

By simply tuning your car for the premium fuel in your area (most likely 93), you will see amazing power gains in addition to slightly increased mileage per gallon. Your car will in essence be set for a particular octane fuel and will in return recognize that fuel and act accordingly; something it could not do with the absence of our tune. Another key benefit of our tune is that we can adjust your throttle response which greatly improves day-to-day driving. For example, if you push your pedal down 25% our tune can actually make that 35-40% (not in exact #'s). Increased throttle response will eliminate dead spots in the lower rpms. Lastly, your car will see increased mileage per gallon due to it running more efficent with our software. (This does not apply to you lead-footed people who are going to exploit your newly found power )

Powerchip can individually tailor your tune for exhaust, intakes, etc.. We've had so many happy Mercedes customers over the past 10+ years that we're content in offering a 14-day money back guarantee.

Please find a few Mercedes vehicles listed below along with the fantastic gains they can see with our 93-octane tune.
S500 - +27hp +30tq.
C55 - +25hp +26tq.
CL500 - +27hp +30tq.
CL600(twin turbo) - +98hp +103tq.
CL55 - +24hp +27tq.
CLK500 - +24hp +27tq.
E500 - +21hp 23tq.
E55K - +30hp +35tq.
ML500 - +28hp +26tq.
SL500 - +27hp +30tq.

Feel free to contact us with any and all questions you may have. We will always be glad to help. Shoot me a private message or email Aaron(at)StealthAuto.com.

To see the Powerchip section of our website CLICK HERE. Not all models are listed in the drop-down menu on the bottom, but software is available for all Mercedes vehicles.

Here are some testimonials from just a few of our satisfied Mercedes customers...

Car: Mercedes-Benz CLK350 3.5
Chip purchased: January, 2006
Testimonial added: 7/9/2006
Customer comments:
The CLK350 is quite fast from factory for its class, but after Powerchip upgraded my ECU, it's significantly better. Better throttle response, same gas mileage, OEM reliability. Before the upgrade, I could slightly break my back tires loose with ESP off, but after the upgrade, I could spin them freely with ESP off. Thanks for the great work Matt & your team. I would not let other tuners to touch my ECU but Powerchip down the the road.

Car: Mercedes-Benz E500 5.0
Chip purchased: January, 2005
Testimonial added: 25/4/2006
Customer comments:
I noticed the increase in pick-up off the line and the mid range acceleration right away! It seems to have much more pulling power without having to slam on the gas pedal. I am very pleased with the results and recommend Powerchip to anyone else that's looking for that extra push!
Also the over night ECU shipping made this whole process a breeze...
Great power upgrade for the buck!

Car: Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG 5.5 V8
Chip purchased: January, 2003
Testimonial added: 11/2/2003
Customer comments:
I can't believe this works...i just shipped my chip overnight to LA and the following day, I installed it back into my car. Now its just such a fun car to drive. I like to rev it all the way and take advantage of the new rev limit. And the other good thing is, now I can reach my cars maximum speed without it cutting out and hitting the 'speed wall'. Overall, great product, and thanks for the customer service as well...I'll be sure to tell my friends about you guys

Car: Mercedes-Benz E320 3.2
Chip purchased: January, 2003
Testimonial added: 23/5/2003
Customer comments:
My 2nd Powerchip...first one was for my 1995 MB C36 AMG...I loved the difference and I sold it to a friend who continues to run it with no problems, 120,000 miles and nearly 300 bhp. My wife drives our new E320 most of the time and when I snuck the Powerchip into it within a month she asked me, "Did you put a supercharger in this?" No lie, she even felt the difference. Along with my dual K&N Air filters and REMUS Cat-back sport exhaust I went from 221 bhp to 252 bhp, off the line is fantastic with 258 lb/ft of torque. I have the E320 that MB will release in 2004 or 2005 when they upgrade the power, I have it already today. Wayne B. is awesome. Thanks Wayne. response.Write(imgname)

Car: Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG 5.5 V8
Chip purchased: January, 2003
Testimonial added: 21/6/2003
Customer comments:
Having used Powerchip for my previous car a CLK430 and now an E55 the difference is noticable from launch to the rev limit - the car is more responsive and changes down quicker for overtaking where it counts - It certainly feels quicker - though I recommend switching the traction control off first!
In respect to long distant fuel ecconomy it's still to early to tell - though due to the kw & Nm hike I would suspect a better result at crusing speed.
Thanks Ryan & Mark

Testimonial added: 16/5/2003
Customer comments:
The car is more responsive...no doubt. I feel the increase in torque and horsepower. The customer service was excellent and the turnaround time was two days as promised. The car is just a more fun car to drive. Thanks.

Please find a few dyno graphs below as well as some images and videos. Please excuse the fact that some were taken on a camera phone, I did not bring a camera to most dyno sessions.

Aaron at Powerchip is very helpful. I love the changes in power and torque. I just put the ECU back in (after having some trouble...not their fault, but mine. I failed to fully clip the harness all the way back into the ECU. I called them and they immediately told me what to do.) the fun is back in the driving! I put over 100 miles on it yesterday and had a blast.

I just double checked Powerchip's site and data-sheets and the 18hp is for 93 octane fuel, which almost every state has, and on 91 you will gain around 15hp. Please see the excerpt from Powerchip's site below.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,

Aaron

"Your Mercedes-Benz C230K Sport Sedan 1.8 utilizes a Surface Mount Chip (SMT) – a very sophisticated and powerful memory device which is fitted to many late model (post 1996) vehicles. Because of its complexity, the SMT style chip must be 'flash' programmed in the same way as the dealership (don't worry - we do this for you when we recieve your ECU), similarly to when servicing the vehicle. The ECU itself is very easy to remove, and should be sent overnight to be modified at Powerchip and then return overnight to you (we use FedEx Priority Overnight Service). Detailed instructions (including photos) are also provided to ensure the ECU can be removed easily from the vehicle. Once complete, and re-installed into the vehicle, you are back on the road to enjoy your enhanced performance – as soon as possible.

In standard form, the C230K Sport Sedan 1.8 produces 189 hp and 192 lb.-ft.

Powerchip has a range of chips to suit your car, which can increase it's power to between 204 hp and 207 hp, and it's torque to between 207 lb.-ft and 211 lb.-ft.

The price of the Powerchip is USD $490.00."

E320 4Matic wagon

I am taking over my wife's E320 wagon and need to give it a more sporting character. Powerchip performance tuning seems to be the right fit. Trottle response is one of the most important improvements I want to make. What would a Powerchip for E320 4Matic.

I think I am also going to need one of those flat black grilles too

Thanks a lot, Bob

I'm interested in more hardware mods, than electronic mods.

Do you have an "Underdrive Pulley System" for a 1994 E320(W124) Sedan?

Also looking for anything to relocate or mod the existing air intake box for better and more cold air.

Performance Thermostats, Upgraded Alternators, Water Pumps, etc...

Let me know, Thanks in advance!

Everyone, I really appreciate the responses but can you please either call, email or PM me with questions. I want to make sure I followup with everyone but answering questions in a thread becomes somewhat tricky.

Thanks a million!
