Peformance Mods for 05 SL500

Hi Gang:

I've had my 05 SL for a couple of months now. Like the 0-60 time of about 6.1 sec., but wouldn't mind getting it into the mid 5's.

Any suggestions regarding what I might do? Perhaps a chip, exhaust, and cold air intake?

Where do I take her to in NJ?

RennTech offers a very nice ECU upgrade + Carbon Fiber air boxes for an additional +17 hp on 91 octane and I think around +25 hp on 93 octane. Most of the major companies offer similar upgrades. EvoTech and Kleemann also offer nice ECU packages. In addition to adding power, the ECU will also improve throttle response and optimize engine power and torque output.
The ECU, in general, is one of the best upgrades for most of the Mercedes vehicles as it comes severly detuned from the factory.
