Benchmark SL55AMG /CLK50K
The Local mag test run the SL55AMG & CLK50K
instrument by VC-3000 on a closed road.
will publish on Feb issue later.
CLK50K
0~100 kph 5.85sec¡B84.39m (distance)
0~200 kph 19.93sec¡B659.85m
0~400m 13.94sec¡B173.95km/h (end speed)
0~1000m 24.67sec¡B225.75km/h
150 kph -> 0 >> 4.6sec¡B93.58m ..........brake test
SL55 AMG w/top down
0~100 kph 5.57sec¡B 80.68m
0~200 kph 18.14sec¡B634.02m
0~400m 13.67sec¡B176.14km/h
0~1000m 24.29sec¡B227.18km/h
150 kph->0 >> 4.99sec¡B100.36m
========================================
Phase-1 ............100-> 200 km/hr
SL55AMG,100->200 kph,takes 12.57" Speedshift twice(2->3->4) assume 0.3*2 saved ?
CLK50K 14.08",normal shift twice
SL55AMG is obviously the winner !
Phase-2 ........... 200 kph to 1000m, analysis of accel.
SL55AMG, Delta(v/t) = 27.18/6.15 = 4.4195 , the poor Cd & wind resist do kill the SL55 much more than w209.
CLK50K, 25.75/4.74 = 5.4325
CLK50K start to walk away afterwards.
As to 0~100kph,it's damn hard to launch such monsters, even the editor test drive a few times, looks still like shxt.
So, I ignore this range.
p.s C32AMG was tested by 6.2 s (0~100 kph) as baseline,FYR

How are you able to take that pic of 315km/h going that fast?? That's crazy! Also from the test above between CLK50K and the SL55 AMG are you saying that the SL55 AMG is still faster?? Sorry confused.

No, I left that to the professionals, photographer of Mags
they have hi-end camera(not digit-cam) & skill as well.
To my surprise, >>>> SL55 is faster at 60~120 mph <<<<<<
the superior Cd of W209 overtakes SL55 after then while SL55 is
still fast moving,
CLK is faster after 120 mph.
Cd dominates, IMO.Both poor launched, so I do not count.
