thinking about buying Brabus B9 kit for my CLK320
i think Brabus and Kleemann they are tuning MB car in differnet directions !
i can get B9 kit for around 3.8K US but still a bit expensive, i think i will go with Brembo break kit
I dont' really like SC stuff becuase i have bad experience with the 230K engine i m afride about SC or turbo engine, I would rather pay more to get B9 or bigger displacement engine. This is what i think not to offence any SC engine owner ! peace !
Paul, you keep digging yourself further into a hole you won't be able to get out of unless you start talking some sense.
Kleemann uses very, VERY similar technology to MB/AMG. They both use Twin-screw lysholm superchargers. The difference between MB/AMG and Kleemann? The Kleemann Kompressor is much more sufficient. At much lower boost levels (7.5 psi) the Kleemann supercharged 3.2L V6 creates nearly as much power as the AMG S/C V6. Kleemann: 331, AMG: 349. How, the Kleemann Kompressor's Intercooling system is a work of genious. It is incredibly efficient. But I can see how Kleemann is the unprofessional and couldn't hold a candle to Brabus... i'm guessing this picture (if you can't tell... its a Brabus modified (increased displacement) 5.8L Kleemann Supercharged V8 G-Wagen...) would probably make you cry blasphemy.
kleemannized 5.8l brabus? how dope is that?>!
..............I think your position is at least consistent, much more so than Paul's position which is all over the map. from your statement, I take it that you do not like the new E55 or SL55, correct?
Ted
kleemannized 5.8l brabus? how dope is that?>!
Here's a little more about it...
It's in a SWB G-Wagen Cabrio and it ran a 13.8 in the 1/4 at 5200 ft. elevation... just imagine what will could do at sea level
REALLY DOPE

tery gets ppl to rob brabus and pay at lower MSRP haha
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
To explain more clearly my position, I will say that clk 320 is a n/a coupe with a smooth and torquey engine, made for relax driving with good performance. Putting a compressor on it will transform this car in a "CLK 32 amg" like, and this updrage doesn't respect the CLK 320 philosophy. It's not a debate for pro or con the compressor. It's a debate about upgrading a CLK 320 with total satefy and total respect for the car philosophy.
I hope that everybody will understand my position.
For the 5.8 kleeman G cabrio:

.........ultimately it is your money and yopu can do what pleases you. Your understanding of superchargers in MB cars is wrong. I have a CLK32K, and you cannot even tell that the car has a supercharger under normal driving conditions. So you can drive relaxed and cruise on the highway without any significant change in the cars characteristics. This is the whole idea behind getting a Kleemann supercharger. It is when you floor the car that it accelerates incredibly. So, based on your understanding, I see where you are coming from. But your understanding is incorrect.
Ted
The Brabus B9 for V6 and B 11 for V8, do not require to take the engine apart, so Paul you are wrong here.
It's simply lifting the valve covers, take out the cams, take out a plug in each cylinder, pump 10-12 bars of air pressure in the cylinder and dismount the OE valve from the top with a special tool.
The BRABUS B9 and B11, there is no ECU programming, so Paul you are wrong again, it's simply running with the OE ECU.
The cams/valve springs are not developed by BRABUS, they are off the shelf SCHRICK cams and springs, which you by the way can buy from Carlsson and others as well.
So paul, here in this world, the clever out smarten the not so clever, 5000,00 $ for 2 Schrick cams with springs, a red stripe on the airbox and a logo for the rear lid is highway robbery.
Buy the 2 cams, 2 KN filters and a BRABUS badge for 50,00$ and you can get the same for 2.000,00.
How they stole your money with regards to your 270 CDI, I will not even comment.
I don't think anybody here has a problem with you posting how you personally feel, but do us all a favour when you post technical
things, to do your home work so you benefit this board.
You have totally missed the KLEEMANN philosophy, try a KLEEMANN car and you will know what KLEEMANN drivers on this board talks about.
Another thing which I simply don't understand, you drive a 270 CDI ( I drive my self a E 270 T CDI with KLEEMANN ECU, 211 HP
/ 460 NM as a daily work horse ), why do you comment something
you have absolutely no idea of how drives ????, how can you compare your slow camel with performance cars with over 500 HP ????.

You can find the english pages easily, not much info there.
You can E-Mail at info@drschrick.de.
How about Evosport looking into this.
Maybe an underdrive pully + headers + cams/valve spings would be the equalent of about 50hp extra and should cost a shade under $5K all in.
Looks like this would be about 1/2 the cost of a Kleeman at about 1/2 the power.
Maybe a few on this board would be interested.
Brabus B9.
Pro: your car stay n.a and you have a 3yrs/60000 miles warranty.
Con: too expensive for the HP gain.
Kleemann compressor
Pro: reasonnable price for a big HP gain
Con
I think that everybody will agree with this sum up.
Summing up, you still comment and write a lot of thing you have no personal experience of.
Did you ever try a BRABUS or a KLEEMANN or any other real performance car ????? or is your only experience your BRABUS Diesel box ????.
If it's wrong tell me what is wrong and I will correct it. I don't see what the relation with the fact that I have driven or not Performance cars from Brabus or Kleemann.
But if you want to know, I was the passenger of a C class V8 during a small road test but I have never seen a Kleemann car in France and I have only seen two or three articles on French tuning magazines. I even don't know if there is an official importer.
