E 230 1996 To Kleemann or not
Need some advice on an upgrade. I am thinking of upgrading my 7 year old E with a Kleemann compressor to get a bit more hp out of the car. Some questions
1. Could I damage the engine given it is 7 years old and has about 150K km on the clock.
2. The E has I believe a 4 speed auto gearbox. Would it add more stress to my gearbox?
I am told by the local Kleemann dealer that the answer would be no to both, however, my mechanic is suggesting that I upgrade the gearbox to a 5 speed to cope! Very confused!
Any thoughts welcome!
BTW, have used Kleemann pulleys on my CLK and they certainly work as advertised!
