Thumbs up Exhaust Systems Anybody?

Supersprint has expanded their 2004 catalog to include a variety of new and exciting Mercedes exhaust components ranging from w202 headers to new SL55 complete exhaust systems! There are too many models to simply list, but chances are, if you have it, they make a kit for it.

As the largest west coast Supersprint distributor, I'd be happy to help with any Supersprint questions any of you may have. Feel free to list your car (year/model), and I will do my best to provide any applicable information either in this post or directly via phone/email.

Thanks,

Ben

PS, whoever was looking for w202 C280 headers, we have them IN STOCK!

stemags, you don't have to cut the apron. You can just let the tips bang up against it for a rattling good time.

Mach430, is the 2 piece system available for the W210 E55?

Parts:

843603 Center Exhaust
843607 Rear Exhaust

what is 843654 Connecting pipes? Is that an center X-Pipe to replace the center exhaust? Thanks.

For the w210 E55, there are a few choices:
Center Exhaust

Connecting Pipe (only needed for connection of certain mufflers to the center exhaust)

Mufflers:

Headers and Metallic Cat information should be available in early '04!

W202 C43
W208 CLK430/55:

A full header-back system is currently in the works, and will utilize metallic cats. I will have more information shortly on all new Mercedes headers. Currently, the cat back system is available:

Anybody else? I have headers for all non-AMG w202s, r170s, w208 V6, w203 V6 and 230K. I will upload pictures of the new SL55 system as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Ben

Hey Ben

How much a hp increase does this give you? Does it deepen the sound? Is SS the only ones who makes this application or are there others?

thanks

I would anticipate gains of approximately 3 HP in upgrading the resonator. I'm not aware of anyone who makes a similiar product of Supersprint's caliber.

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

What is your's and Vadims opinion of the Hp increase of a well made header back system for the AMG C43?

Right now I am putting out approx. 275Hp at 6000 rpm and 246 ft-lbs of torque from 4,800 to 5,800 rpm at the rear wheels based on several runs with the PDA Dyno I purchased from Evosport.

My ram air set-up seems to helped push some extra air into the engine.

Jeff,

I think you would stand to gain between 13-17hp at the wheels on your C43 from headers alone. A full system (utilizing stock cats) would probably add another couple hp. Adding SS metallic cats to the system could yield anywhere from 5-10 more hp.

Petie,

Let's chat later on pricing.

Thanks,

Ben

Whats the difference between a cat and a resonator? Is it possable to have both more free flowing?

Thanks for the answer xyzpl.
Is it true that if one removes the resonator, the car will lose torque? What if a hi-flow resonator is installed?

Nah, you have PLENTY of backpressure from the stock manifolds (or aftermarket) and cats. Removing the resonator, or installing a hi-flow one, can only help.

Thanks,

Ben

Ben can tell you what he thinks as far as performance, but it will be loud, no question. you can talk to Bruce(Lowryder) on the forum in the W208 CLK forum or PM him, he has a CLK320 with no rear muffler, but i believe his resonators are still there, not sure. but you can ask him about sound levels, for a 320 his car is pretty loud.

If you have no mufflers on your car, be prepared for A LOT of attention.

ahopeter,

Supersprint has a variety of tips to choose from. What style were you looking for?

Pierre32///AMG,

Supersprint has a Y-Pipe that attaches to the stock cats and leads to their performance resonator:

Mufflers with a variety of tip styles (such as the class tips on Vadim's C32) will be available after the new year.

Thanks,

Ben
