Exclamation KLEEMANN sets speed record!
Over the weekend in Germany KLEEMANN set the new world record for fastest sedan. KLEEMANN beat BRABUS old record of 320 (200 mph) kph (set with a 7.4 liter V12) with a E55 Kompressor. Top speed was 338 kph (211 mph)!

Pictures to follow once I have them from Europe.

500 SEC
7.4 V 12, so the mb engine is the base and it is re-bored and stroked then a turbine is added.
Does that sum it up or is there more?

Kleemann used a stock E55 engine. Brabus used their 7.4L V12.

31 from 20 sounds small, even 61 from 50 is like nothing, but wow, anywhere once you hit pasted 100 (from a US standpoint) each mile is something, so wow once again, 211 from 200... you not only beat them, you destroyed them... Very impressive.

The event was held at a DC test track, an oval with mild banking. The track limited the speed. A longer front straight would have produced an even higher speed!

World record mods-
The E55K is what we call "Full Spec". Every item KLEEMANN makes was on the car- kompressor, wheels, brakes, full suspension etc.

YOKOHAMA tires- type and spec were special for this run.

Kompressor output was raised to .6 bar from .5 bar.

I had my friends bring over a BMW M5 and BMW Z8.... no competition. I was particularly impressed by how quickly I distanced myself from them between 70- 120 mph. Really awesome... I can't say enough.

I'll be posting pictures of my car and engine tomorrow. Kleemann gives you a nice 1 year warranty. I believe 3rd party warranties are available, however, I'm not really sure. As for myself, I'm not that concerned about warranty issues. I'll deal with problems as they arise (if they arise).
