Cheap upgrades for 500SEL

hi All

I have a 1987 500SEL. Are there any cheap ways of making this already very fast car go faster?

Reduce weight. Although usually this reduces the luxury of the car. Light weight wheels are a decent consideration. Install a higher stall torque converter. Intelligent exhaust mods. Airbox mods.

Your current cats and exhaust setup might be too restrictive for the best and optimal air flow to give you the most power out of your engine.

Airbox mods are things that would help reroute air flow from the front dam into critical locations where fresh air is needed most.
