warranty void?

Hi all,

Just a few questions.
I am very interested to put a supercharge or boostkit on my car.
Will that void the warranty?? Thanks.

If you have an engine warranty

issue/claim,Mercedes can choose to not honor it IF they can prove that your modifications directly led to the problem.
So-if you run too much boost/advance/whatever and the engine frags due to detonation, they'll probably not fix it under warranty.
If,say 'fer instance, the oil-cooler fails and coolant ruins the engine,
the warranty will still be honored.Your mods didn't cause the leak.
These are only two examples, but I think you'll see what I'm getting at...there should be no blanket warranty denial simply because of the owner's modifications. There are ways they can deny warranty coverage even if the car is STOCK.You do have to be rather stupid or insensitive for this to happen, however.
It's my understanding that the better blower kit suppliers step up with their own warranty if they also do the installation.
