New Cold Air Intake
I posted this in the 208 forum, but since not all of you go there I wanted to post this here as well.
It appears B&B has made a cold air intake for mercedes. It seemed to me that most of you were changing filters in the stock air boxes and not installing new intakes. I've ordered one so I will let you know how it goes; but I would still love to hear your opinions on this mod.

Thanks

Ideally, you would want a heat shield made of a material that would deflect heat better. This is a step in the right direction, but I think there is a lot more progress to be done...
my 2 cents.

This is a copy of what I posted in the W208 forum:
Update-
I recieved it today but had problems installing it because some mounting pieces were missing. I've emailed the company, and hopefully they get back to me soon. I did attach it temporarily through improvisation (and a trip to pep-boys) and let me tell you it sounds great. Better than I could of imagined. It has a deep and throaty growl that comes to life only when I really accelerate, so it is not obnoxious. As to the horespower increase, I can feel some but my *** is hardly a dyno test.

What I got looks exactly like what was in the picture. I will take some photos of my own when I get a chance but I am currently way to busy studying for the CFA exam this Saturday, the fifth. Only 30% pass, it is freaking impossible!

engine bay (away from all the heat build-up). On my GTI, I had the AEM come out below the battery in the area front of the tire and tucked up about 1ft from the ground catching the air from the front of the car.

That intake piping is nothing but a short ram and correct me if i'm wrong but i think all that'll do is bog down the engine. also, that filter is not what they make it out to be. i had the a similar, if not exact, replica of that filter (for my acura rsx) and performance wise, it does what it's supposed to do but 850??? The one that I bought off ebay was 15 bucks plus shipping. You're paying for the name - consider some other option.
this is not worth your money.
